oneplus 2 concept

The OnePlus 2 launch is coming up later this month and with an imminent launch the phone is now going through certification processes where it three version of the phone have been leaked.
A new Bluetooth SIG certification for the OnePlus 2 shows up 3 versions of the phone with model numbers A2001, A2003 and A2005. If you are wondering what the differences between the versions are well we can take a look at Geekbench for partial answers.
From Geekbench we see that there are models with both 3GB RAM and 4GB RAM, both of which are running an under clocked Snapdragon 810 chipset running at just 1.55Ghz. The final version of the phone will run the same chip but at 1.8Ghz.
Other difference between the OP2 models are the storage with rumours flying around that we will see 16GB/32GB/64GB and possibly even a 128GB version. These storage options certainly rule out any hope of an SD card on the phone.
Earlier in the year it was also mentioned that OnePlus might launch a new device that might not be a flagship but instead be more of a design exercise for customers who prefer high end materials and design over all out grunt. We haven’t heard much about this phone since early rumours, but it is possible that one of those serial numbers refers to this phone.
The OnePlus 2 will arrive on 27th July via a VR launch. The phone is confirmed to have USB Type C , fingerprint scanner and a Snapdragon 810 chipset.
